#2 - Scaling Up and Standing Out

Date: December 23, 2024

Hey,

I’ve been all over the place this past week—no sleep schedule, just me cleaning up my laptop, getting my systems in order, and somehow managing to play both a cricket and a pickleball tournament. They don’t call me the king of side quests for nothing.

Here’s a snapshot of us trying to figure out the rules for Pickleball before diving headfirst into the tournament. Gutsy, right?

WTF is pickleball ?

This Week’s Epiphanies

Epiphany #1 → Building one of the most powerful personal brands on the Internet

This week, I spent some serious time defining what I stand for:

  • Who is Moksh Vasant? What are my core values?

  • What topics truly resonate with me?

  • What is the “Moksh Vasant aesthetic” or perspective?

These questions aren’t just fluff—they’re the foundation of a personal brand that feels authentic.

No tactic or formula can fully encapsulate what a personal brand is.

I’ve had people ask me how I “blew up” online over the past 6 months, even though I only post once a week. The answer lies in understanding why I create and knowing what I truly stand for.

I also started mapping out how to scale across platforms:

  • Think of Instagram as the powerhouse where I generate traction.

  • The next steps? Redirecting that audience to platforms like YouTube, E-mails, and beyond.

More on this in the coming weeks.

I know i’m oversharing but the goal is to maximise the value i provide through these Newsletters.

Epiphany #2 → Build to Scale from Day #1

Lately, my mind has been laser-focused on scaling.

Back in 2020, I co-founded Meteoric—a calisthenics coaching startup (at 17 years of age) —with my best friend. We coached up to 15 clients at a time, but our messy systems (and lack of experience) kept us from growing. Eventually, we burned out and had to shut down.

That experience taught me a valuable lesson:

Good systems are the backbone of scaling anything.

This week, I’ve been cleaning up everything—files, folders, Notion, editing software, calendars, you name it. My goal? To speed up my workflow, make collaboration seamless, and build systems that can scale by making hiring and delegation easy for when the time’s right —whether for StuKonnect (the startup Aryan and I are working on) or my content creation process.

A Quick Update

About 350 of you downloaded The Perpetual Student template last week, which was honestly insane. I hope you’re finding value in it!

Since 2025 is around the corner, I’ll be running a 50% discount on The Jack of All Trades Notion template next week —a digital brain to help you organise your life. Keep an eye out for it.

Something Worth Listening To

Here’s a conversation I thoroughly enjoyed, it’s between:

  • Kumar Mangalam Birla (Chairman, Aditya Birla Group) and

  • Nikhil Kamath (Co-founder, Zerodha).

Thanks for reading,
Moksh

(P.S. The Pickleball tournament didn’t go as planned, but hey—side quests are all about the journey.)
